Have you ever walked through a Sunflower Field? In Hawaii? You still have time to spend a few hours enjoying beautiful sunflowers at the Waimanalo Country Farms located on the East Side of Oahu. They are currently having their Summer Sunflower Event which will end on July 17. New for this year is the chance to have a private picnic in the field. You can enter the farm from 9 a.m. and the last cars allowed in will be at 4 p.m. The field closes at 4:30 p.m. and the market stands close at 5 p.m. Admission prices range from $10 to $12 per person. Cash or a credit card is accepted at the door. However, reservations are recommended. Please read all of the instructions, rules and regulations posted on the Waimanalo Country Farms website. I recommend spending the whole day exploring the East Side! Waimanalo is next to Kailua and has one of the most beautiful beaches on Oahu. Don't forget, you can also enjoy sunflowers during Autumn. Thinking about Honolulu and Waikiki and need a place to stay? Book Direct and avoid Hotel & OTA Fees at Blue Hawaii Vacation Rentals (Shameless Plug!). Mahalo! Ray Marrero
